Balangir, Dec 7: Acting on a tip off, the Income Tax (IT) department seized Rs 150 crore from a country made liquor shop owner's house in Sudapada area of Balangir district on Wednesday. The shop owner has been identified as Rajesh Sahu.

It was found out that Sahu has liquor shops in many other locations in the district. The IT sleuths carried out simultaneous raids in his shops, house and office and seized the huge amount.  

According to information, the raid went on for a whole day and after that the money was deposited in the main branch of SBI.  

Sahu in order to evade tax had hidden his black money at various places in his house, office and shop.
