Keonjhar, Mar 18: The truck association members of Keonjhar on Monday observed a 24-hour bandh in the district demanding the cancellation of the railway project connecting Suakathi with Guhaladihi.
They alleged that the project from Suakathi to Guhaldihi would render them jobless as all the iron ores would be carried by trains.
The bandh observation started at 6:00 AM today.
The truck association members were seen gathering near Shailang on National Highway 20 and blocking all the vehicles moving on the way.

✨Additionally, buses, trains, and government and private institutions, leaving essential vehicles, including Keonjhar Railway Station, District Office, and other various places in the district have been shut.
"Many organisations are supporting us and the bandh observation is going well," said the truck association president.
