Champua, Jan 30: Additional District Judge, Champua, has awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing his wife in a village in Keonjhar district six years back.
The convict has been identified as Ranjan Gagrai, a resident of Kolha Baripada village.
Ranjan was convicted of the murder of his wife case earlier. He was sentenced to life imprisonment today.
According to the case, Ranjan had burnt his wife alive in 2018. On a complaint lodged by her parents, the police had conducted the investigation. Based on police investigation and witnesses, he was convicted of the murder.
