Bhubaneswar, Feb 11: The last rites of eminent politician, former MLA and queen of Khallikote V. Sugnana Kumari Deo will be conducted today.

Her mortal remains were brought by a special flight from Chennai to Bhubaneswar yesterday. At first her remains were taken to BJD party office where the party leaders conducted a condolence meeting. 

Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik also paid tribute to her.  

Thereafter Sugnana Kumari was taken to Vidhan Sabha where Speaker and MLAs had her last darshan. 

The last rites will be conducted today at her family's crematorium in Khallikote. 

She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai when she breathed her last at 12:44 am on February 10. She was 87-years-old.
