Koraput, Jan 13: In a shocking incident, two lovers ended life by hanging themselves from a tamarind tree using a dupatta near their village end in Jodipai  of Chanabada panchayat under Dasmantpur police station here this afternoon.

The deceased  were identified as Mahendra Hikka and Jubanti Muska.

According to reports, Mahendra and Jubanti were in love with each other for the last two years. Jubanti's family members were not accepting their relationship and were not allowing them to get married. But under which circumstances this incident took place is an arising question.

On being informed, Dasmantpur police reached the spot, rescued the bodies, and started further investigation into the matter.
