A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 14, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 14, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
The system is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Central and adjoining South Bay of Bengal around November 16, the IMD said.
A 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 is likely to form over 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 around 14th November. It is likely to move west-northwestwards & intensify into a 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 over Central & adjoining South Bay of Bengal around 16th November, 2023.

Under its influence, several places in Odisha are likely to receive light to moderate rain from November 15, the IMD forecast in its latest bulletin.
November 15
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and at one or two places in North Coastal Odisha.
November 16
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
November 17
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Khordha, Puri, and at one or two places in rest districts of South Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur,Kalahandi and Sundargarh.
There will be no large change in the night temperature during the next days, the bulletin said.
