Keonjhar, Dec 7: A man was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon at Dhenkikot Patra area under Ghatagaon police station limits in Keonjhar district on Wednesday. 

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Bhushan Nayak of Khantaghar village. 

According to information, Nayak was found lying in a pool of blood when he was rushed to the nearest Community Health Centre (CHC). He was declared brought dead by the doctors. 

Police reached the spot and after preliminary investigation suspected an alleged love affair to be the reason behind Nayak's death. 

A scientific team also reached the spot and started investigation.
