Koraput, Mar 29: In a gruesome incident, an elderly man was killed by none other than his son-in-law in Basanaputa village under Narayanapatana police station of Koraput district.

The deceased had been identified as Ramachandra Huluka.

According to the information, Ramachandra Huluka's daughter was pregnant and she was staying at her parental house. She suddenly felt ill. So her father took her to the nearest Hospital.

Angry at this, Ramachandra's son-in-law Satu Praska asked Ramchandra, "why he took his wife to the hospital in his absence?"

They had a verbal spat, where Satu took crime into his hands and attacked Ramachandra with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot.

On being informed, Narayanapatana police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mertem.

After post-mertem, the body will be handed over to the family members, said local police.
