The presence of outlawed Maoists in the Nuapada district has been ascertained once again after a naxal camp was located in a jungle on the Odisha-Chhattishgarh border early this morning. 

Nuapada, Apr 22: The presence of outlawed Maoists in the Nuapada district has been ascertained once again after a naxal camp was located in a jungle on the Odisha-Chhattishgarh border early this morning. 

According to the information, the camp was found near the Kataphara village under the Boden police station limits during a joint combing operation by the Odisha police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. 

Though no Maoist was arrested, security personnel seized Mao articles and medicines from the camp.

Sources said the Maoist might have come from the neighbouring Chhattisgarh after the recent exchange of fire in which 29 Maoists were killed. Security personnel have also intensified combing operations in jungles on the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border.
