Mayurbhanj, Nov 21: In a barbaric incident, a woman was reportedly killed by none other than her husband at Nalagaja village under Rasagobindpur police station in Mayurbhanj district today. 

The victim has been identified as Parbati Tudu and the accused husband as Jitu Tuesday. 

According to sources, the culprit had a dispute with his wife, Parbati Tudu, for a long period of time. They had a quarrel between them this morning. In a fit of rage, Jitu hacked to her with a chopper, killing on the spot. 

After killing Parbati, he tried to flee the spot but was caught by the villagers. Then locals tied him to a tree and called for the police.

The police have started investigations from different angles after arresting him.
