Cuttack, Apr 8: In a shocking incident, a youth was electrocuted after coming in contact with a live electric wire connected to a pole in front of the Madhukunj Park in the Tulsipur area in the city here on Sunday night.
The incident occured when he was about to return home after attending his friend’s birthday party.
The deceased has been identified as Alok Pradhan (23), a resident of Stewart Patna of Cuttack.
According to the information, Alok along with another friend Udit came in contact with an electric wire connected to the electric pole in front of the park when they were about to leave for their respective homes after celebrating their friend Akash's birthday.

✨Both of them were rushed to a private hospital. While Alok was declared dead on his arrival, his friend Udit is undergoing treatment after sustaining critical injuries in the mishap.
The deceased body has been shifted to SCB Hospital.
