Jajpur, Dec 12: In a heartrending incident, a minor boy died after being washed away in the Kharashrota River at Beruda village under Sadar police station limits in Jajpur district today.
The deceased has been identified as Miku Barik (13), son of Brundaban Barik of Beruda village.
According to the information, the boy slipped into the deep water while taking a bath in the river. Later, some locals rescued him and rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital, Jajpur. However, doctors declared him dead there.
