Bhubaneswar, Feb 2: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday expressed deep grief over the passing away of national awardee film director Padma Shri Sadhu Meher.

Padma Shri Sadhu Meher was a nationally acclaimed personality for his profound acting and film directing. He has left behind an indelible imprint in acting in both Hindi and Odia films. He was the first Odia actor to have received the prestigious National Film Award. He was the recipient of many honours and accolades for his remarkable performances in art sector. His demise is a great loss for the art world," said the Chief Minister in his condolence message. 

The Chief Minister too prayed for the soul and expressed condolences for the bereaved family members.
