Bhubaneswar, Sep 17: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, several other leaders extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday.
In a post on social media platform X, CM Majhi wrote, ““Heartfelt birthday wishes to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi. Your visionary leadership has given India new momentum and direction. Under your guidance, historic achievements in development have been made across the nation, including Odisha. We pray to Lord Jagannath to bless you with good health, long life, and continuous energy so that you may carry forward this noble mission of serving the nation.”.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also took to Twitter and wrote: "On behalf of 4.5 crore Odia brothers and sisters, we extend birthday wishes to our nation’s beloved leader, Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi."
To mark the Prime Minister’s birthday, the State government is set to plant 75 lakh saplings across the state.
The Forest Department is set to plant 15 lakh saplings, while the Panchayati Raj Department will plant 34 lakh saplings, the Industries Department will plant 15 lakh saplings, Agriculture Department will plant 23 lakh saplings, CAPFs in the state will plant 2.2 lakh saplings, police will plant 3 lakh saplings, and banks and financial institutions will plant 2 lakh saplings.
As many as 15 lakh students, 2 lakh teachers, 76,000 Anganwadi workers, 17,000 ASHA workers, 10,000 eco-clubs, 17,500 forest protection committees, 1 lakh NSS volunteers, 16,500 MY Bharat youth volunteers, thousands of self-help groups and corporate volunteers will participate in the massive plantation drive, he added.
Odisha’s single-day plantation drive has been officially listed on the Meri Life Portal, and participants will be eligible for digital certificates.
