Odisha: Former IAS Officer Hrusikesh Panda Joins BJP

Bhubaneswar, Mar 4: Former IAS officer and a prolific writer, Hrusikesh Panda joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here in Odisha on Sunday.
Panda, the topper of the 1979 batch, joined the saffron party at the party's State headquarters here in the presence of BJP State president Manmohan Samal, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and other senior leaders.
Panda, who hails from Bhadrak district, is also a well-known fiction writer. He held several top posts in both the Union and State governments during his long bureaucratic career.

✨Yesterday, former Minister and five-time MLA Arabinda Dhali, former BJD MLA Mukunda Sodi, retired Air Marshal Dilip Kumar Patnaik, former joint secretary in Rajya Sabha Ramakanta Das, and BJD’s Digapahandi block chairman Bipin Pradhan also joined the BJP.
Recently, two sitting BJD MLAs Pradeep Panigrahi and Prashant Jagdev also joined the BJP. Former State Minister Debasis Nayak of the BJD also switched sides.
