Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, potable water connections are to be provided to the people but due to the lack of cooperation of the State government water connections could not be made available for the people in many parts of the state. This is also due to the unholy nexus between contractors and the ruling party, he alleged.
The Congress government at the Centre had alotted Rs 3,00,000 crore to Odisha during 2004 to 2014, while the Modi government has provided six times the amount that is Rs 18,00,000 crore to the state.
Pradhan also said that unemployment in the State has risen during the 25 year rule of the BJD government. Around 50% students are drop out of matriculation. Last year, approximately 15,000 students had filled thier forms for 10th board exams but did not appear in the exam. "Is this the transformation of the state, claimed by the ruling party ?", he questioned.
