Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: The Odisha Secondary School Teachers' Association (OSSTA), which staged a sit-in protest to press for its three demands today, said the teachers would cooperate in the conduct of the Matric Examinations starting tomorrow.
The teachers' association also said it would continue a symbolic protest till the exams are over.
The OSSTA withdew the sit-in protest following talks with the government in the interest of students.
Notably, the teachers sat on a dharna at the Lower PMG here to press for the execution of their three 'legitimate' demands- full grants to 194-category schools, 7th pay scale payment and execution of old pension.

✨"We want the194 schools be provided full grants soon. Teachers should be paid scale of pay as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. We also demand that retired teachers should be paid pension as per old pension rules," demanded the agitating teachers.
There are currently 30,000 OSSTA teachers in the State.
