Bhubaneswar, May 25: Odisha registered 59.60% percent voting by 5 pm in the third phase election being held for six parliamentary and 42 assembly seats constituencies today.
According to the Election Commission data, Sambalpur PC recorded the highest of 65.91% polling, followed by Keonjhar 62.43%, Puri 61.17%, Dhenkanal 60.88%, Cuttack54.35% and Bhubaneswar 53.54% polling.
Notably, the voting started at 7 am and is scheduled to continue till 6 pm. About 94.41 lakh voters are enrolled to exercise their franchise at 10,551 boothys. Heavyweight BJP leaders like Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Aparajita Sarangi and Sambit Patra and BJD leader Pranab Prakash are fighting this phase of polls as MP candidates.
