Bhubaneswar, May 30: Mercury soared to 46.6 degrees Celsius at Jharsuguda in Odisha by 2.30 PM on Thursday as heat wave conditions swept through large parts of the State.
According to the latest bulletin of IMD’s Bhubaneswar centre, the maximum temperature recorded at 41 degree Celsius or more at four places in the State by 2.30 PM today.
Jharsuguda recorded a maximum temperature of 46.6 degree Celsius, followed by Sambalpur at 45.6 degree Celsius, Hirakud at 44.5 degree Celsius, Rourkela at 43.8 degree Celsius and Keonjhar 41.4 degree Celsius.

✨There will be no large change in maximum temperature(day temperature) during the next three days and fall by 2-3 degree Celsius thereafter at many places in Odisha, the Met Centre said.
Meanwhile, the weather department issued Orange and Yellow warnings of heat wave conditions over several districts during the next three days. It also issued a yellow weather warning of hot and humid weather conditions for many places till June 4.
