Bhubaneswar, Nov 12: Odisha is likely to get a new Director General of Police on New Year 2024 as incumbent DGP Sunil Bansal will retire on December 31, this year. 

In view of this, a hot discussion has erupted in the power corridor as to who would be the next head of Odisha police. 

Meanshile, the State Government has recommended names of seven senior police officers to the Union Government. The officers whose names have been recommended include B Radhika A, AM Prasad, YB Khurania, SM Narawane, Arun Ray, Arun Sarangi and Sudhansu Sarangi.
