Dhenkanal, Dec 3: Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, urged all concerned to take responsibility for taking forward sports traditions in rural areas in the State.
The Union Minister graced as chief guest at the final competition of the 'Jayadurga Annual Football Tournament' at Sayukbiri in Dhenkanal district.
He said, "Football is my favorite sport. It is unique among all sports. Thanks to all club members for popularizing this sport in the local area. Greetings and congratulations to all the players, including Angul and Dhenkanal, who participated in the 'Jayadurga Annual Football Tournament'. The tournament will provide an opportunity for many local talents."
Pradhan opined that everyone is responsible for promoting sports with good infrastructure in rural areas.
