Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has greeted four Odia personalities on being selected for Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for their talents in different fields.  

Bhubaneswar, Jan 26: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has greeted four Odia personalities on being selected for Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for their talents in different fields.  

For this, the Union Minister thanked President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. "Odia people have always been appropriately honoured during the Modi government.

Recognizing and honoring Odia talents has become a tradition of the Modi government. Bringing hidden talents to the public fore through Padma awards is a Modi guarantee," noted Pradhan. 

Pradhan further noted that Padma awards have been recognizing people with extraordinary talents at the grassroots level. Life-long practice and promotion of Bhajans and songs by Gopinath Swain of Ganjam district and Bhagabat Pradhan of Bargarh district are praiseworthy. Similarly, noted dramatist, poet, and writer Binod Kumar Pashayat of Sambalpur district and Binod Mahrana of Khordha have enriched our art," said Pradhan.
