Parents Urge Govt To Rescue Tortured Migrant Son In Telangana After Video Goes Viral

Balangir, Feb 9: Another bonded labour plight has come to the fore from a brick kiln in Telangana after a video of the labourer being beaten went viral. 

Ramakrushna Majhi, a youth from Gudbhela village in Balangir district was beaten by the brick kiln owner in Telangana the video of which is circulating on the Internet. 

The parents of the victim have appealed to the state government to rescue their son and take whatever action is needed to get the brick kiln owner punished.

According to the information, six months ago Majhi had gone to work in Nalcu Ranga Reddy brick kiln where he was tortured and beaten by the owner with a wooden log. The brick kiln owner has held the labourer in captivity and is not letting him. 

"After we saw the video, we were very hurt and tried to contact our son to return home but his phone was switched off. Therefore we request the government to rescue our son," said Ramakrushna's father.
