Nayagarh, Jan 27: In a tragic mishap, three Class-X students were killed and several others were injured after a picnic bus collided head-on with a truck near the Dasapalla area of Nayagarh district in Odisha.

According to information, a bus carrying near about 50 students of a private coaching centre was traveling for a picnic while this mishap took place.

Soon after the accident, locals reached the spot and started rescue operation.

Injured students were immidiately rushed to Dasapalla and Nayagarh Hospital.

On being informed, Nayagarh police reached on the spot and started investigation into the matter.

However, the  driver and helper of the bus are detained by the police.

Further probe into the matter is still on.
