Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: Union Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan celebrated 'Pakhal Divas' by eating Pakhal (Fermented Rice) with his friends at his official residence in New Delhi today.
Rajya Sabha Vice-Chairman Harivansha Narayan Singh, former Ambassador Taranjit Singh Siddhu, and ASI Director General Prof Kishore Kumar Basa relished Pakhal along with Pradhan.
The Union Minister expressed happiness and conveyed his wishes to them.

✨"The feeling of happiness in having Pakhal with friends is unique. Pakhal is one of the favorite dishes of Lord Jagannath. It is Odisha's cultural identity and a very part of our dish heritage. Many people have added Pakhal to their routine dish after knowing about its specialty and health benefits," Pradhan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
He said further that Pakhal is one of the special foods of Odias. Pakhal is the soul of Odias. "It is our identity and unique symbol of our Odia cuisine," wrote Pradhan.
