Argus News - Problems Mount For Sambit Routray As BJD Workers Oppose His Possible Candidature

Bhubaneswar, Apr 10: Troubles mounted for BJD MLA Sambit Routray as over a hundred BJD workers protested his possible candidature for the Paradip assembly seat for the second time at Sankha Bhavan here today. 

The party activists from Paradip urged the BJD leadership not to give a party ticket to Sambit Routray for a second time. They shouted slogans against Routray. They were heard shouting, "Sambit Hatao, Paradip Banchao" (Move Sambit, Save Paradip). 

They demanded that another leader be picked for the seat this time. They threatened that they would campaign against Routray and the BJD if the MLA is picked for the election by the party again. 

"Sambit Routry should not be named party candidate for the Paradip seat for the coming election. He has done nothing for the people of the constituency," alleged disgruntled workers.
