Puri, Nov 2: Irregularities have been alleged in the allotment of shop rooms constructed here by the State Government to rehabilitate businessmen who were shifted from their places for the ongoing Shreemandir heritage work.
According to the information, many shops have been distributed without a notification by the competent authority.
Neither the district administration nor the Puri Municipality has issued a notification yet. Thus, poor and shifted shopkeepers have failed to apply for shops. The administration has not framed any modality for the distribution of the shops as alleged by many.

'The administration has not made it clear on which basis the shop rooms were allotted to people other than displaced retailers. Irregularities have been marked in the allotment. Thus a high-level inquiry should be conducted into the incident," demanded a local resident.
