Puri, July 12: Chariots will be turned south as the process for Bahuda Yatra (Return Sojourn) of the Holy Trinity- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra- begins today. Bahuda Yatra will be held on July 15. 

The Raths will be taken from the front of Singha Dwar of Shree Gundica Temple to Saradha Bali in front of Nakachana Dwar. 
According to the information, Ajnamala of deities will be brought to respective Raths after Sakala Dhupa (Morning Puja and Prasad Offering). Then they will be dragged and made south-facing.   

"Raths will be dragged to Sharadhabali and kept south-facing for the deities' Bahuda Yatra. This is done on the day after Maa Laxmi comes and breaks part of Nandighosh in anger," said a servitor.  

Yesterday, Herapanchami, one of the important rituals of the Rath Yatra, was celebrated amid a devotional atmosphere and religious fervour. 

As per the tradition, Maa Mahalaxmi Comes To Shree Gundicha and breaks part of Lord Jagannath's Nandighosh Rath in anger on Herapanchami Tithi.  Maa Laxmi gets infuriated after She fails to meet Lord Jagannath in Shree Gundicha Temple. On Her return way, She breaks Nandighosh. 

Notably, Lord Jagannath and HIs siblings- Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra- Make a nine-day sojourn to their birthplace in Shree Gundicha Temple on Asadha Dwadasi.
