Puri: Shrimandir Deities Go Sleepless As Badasinghar Besa Delayed

Bhubaneswar, Feb 5: Shrimandir deities- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Chakraraj Sudarshan- remained sleepless as Badasinghar Besha was delayed till the wee hours of Monday because of a dispute between two groups servitors last night.
According to the information, the Badasinghar ritual (The last ritual in Sanctum Sanctorum in Shrimandir) could not be conducted because of a controversy erupted between Singhari and Suara servitor groups. Thus, the deities could not sleep ritually.
While Maharasad was available after the first Bhogamandap, devotees were deprived of getting Mahaprasad after the second Bhogamandap. A Mahasnana was conducted as blood drops were seen near the Bhitrar Katha (Near the door of Sanctum Sanctorum) at 5.35 pm. While the Mahasnana ritual was completed at 8.10 pm, the second Bhogamandap started at 11.24 pm and ended at 11.30 pm.

✨The delay in the second Bhogamandap was caused by a dispute between Singhari and Suar servitors. As a result, devotees were deprived of the second Bhogamandap Mahaprasad.
This led to the delay in the conduct of Sandhya Dhupa, which was conducted at 12.44 am. The Badasinghar Besa was conducted at 4.12 am.
