Puri, Feb 9: Ahead of the world-famous 2024 Rath Yatra, the first lot of Timber from the Mahaveer temple of 'Mahaveer Khetra' in Nayagarh reached Puri this afternoon. 

A special puja was offered to Lord Hanuman before sending the timbers to the Puri temple for chariot construction. 

Hundreds of devotees thronged to the temple to join the auspicious puja. 'Haribol', 'Hulhuli' reverberated in the air as the timbers left for Puri.
