Gajapati, Dec 5: Keeping in view the cyclone Michaung and its effect in Gajapati district, the district administration has declared December 6 i.e. tomorrow as a holiday for primary, upper primary, high school and Anganwadi centres (AWCs). 

Earlier, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued orange warning for the district, but changed it to yellow alert today i.e. on December 5.

Michaung is likely to make a landfall in the noon sometime between Nellore and Machilipatnam. The adjoining southern districts of  Odisha viz Koraput, Malkanagiri, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam have been given warning for heavy rainfall.
