Balasore, Apr 6: In a gruesome act, an elderly man hit his two-year-old grandson and kept him in an isolated room for defecating on the bed in Kairda village under Karmada police station limits in Balasore district on Friday.
The man has been identified as Gourang Ghadei.
According to the information, Gourang and his wife were taking care of their nephew's son after the child's mother abandoned him a year ago.
On friday night, the child defecated on the bed. Enraged over this the uncompassionate grandfather punched the child on his head and the eyes. His wrath did not end here as he kept the child in captivity in an isolated room instead of providing medical treatment.

✨When the neighbours did not spot the child this morning, they confronted Gourang and rescued the child. They rushed the child to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Balasore and called the police.
The villagers have demanded stringent action against the cruel man.
