Sambalpur, Feb 27: In an act of patricide, a man stoned his father in Saharapada area of Ghenupali village under Sadar police station limits in Sambalpur district. 

The deceased man has been identified as Lingaraj Kumura and his son is Aditya Kumura. 

According to the information, Aditya reportedly asked his father for money to which his father denied. A brawl followed the denial for money. In a fit of rage, Aditya killed his father by hitting him with a heavy stone. 

Lingaraj Kumura died on the spot and Aditya fled the spot. 

Police has seized the body and a manhunt to nab the cruel son has been launched.
