Bhubaneswar, Mar 24: The Vigilance sleuths caught a sub-inspector red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 5,000 in a drunk and drive case here on Sunday. 

According to the information, Sub-inspector of Saheed Nagar police station, Priyabrata Pradhan had seized the driving license of a man for driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Pradhan demanded Rs 5,000 to release the driving license. The man had paid him Rs 3,000 but Pradhan insisted on giving Rs 2,000 more. 

Finding no other option the man allegedly complained the Vigilance about Pradhan. Vigilance officials caught Pradhan red-handed while taking the bribe. 

Vigilance is conducting simultaneous raids at his VSS Nagar residence and Brahmagiri paternal residence.
