Sonepur, Nov 2: The alleged police attack on agitators during the 12-hour Ulunda Bandh has been criticized by various sections of people.
According to the information, the Aam Admi Party and Trikuta Kshetra Surakshya and Vikash Parishad jointly started a shutdown, demanding an early move for the identification of Patali Shreekhetra spot in Subarnapur district. Patali Shreekshetra means a place where Puri Shreemandier Trinity (Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra) were kept hidden for about 140 years in Subarnapur district.
The two organizations had called for the 12-hour bandh obtaining due permission from the Superintendent of Police. However, while the activists started picketing this morning, the Ulunda police asked them to withdraw the agitation and then picked up many of them from the agitation site.
