Cuttack/Khordha, June 22: As many as three people were killed and two persons sustained critical injuries in two separate accidents that occurred at different places in the State on Saturday morning.
The first accident occurred in Cuttack City. Two persons were killed and another person sustained injuries as their bike hit a stationary truck on the Madhusudan Bridge in the CDA area. The identity of the deceased and injured persons is yet to be identified. The injured is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation.
The second accident occurred at Khadikapalli Chhack on National Highway 16 where a steel-laden truck rammed into a coal-laden truck, leading to the death of a driver and injuries inflicted on his helper.

✨The driver of the coal-laden truck fled leaving behind the vehicle at the accident spot.
On being informed, Balugaon police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body, and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. The deceased was identified as a resident of Tamil Nadu.
