Berhampur, Feb 18: In a shocking incident, a woman attempted to murder her husband by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon in Bariguda village under Dharakota police station limits in Ganjam district last night.
The injured man has been identified as Rohit Patra (45).
According to the information, Rohit the elder son of Madan Patra, was an alcoholic and used to beat his wife, Kasturi Patra on a daily basis.
The couple had an argument last night and in a fit of rage Kasturi attacked her husband with a sharp weapon.

✨He was rushed to Aska Sub-divisional Hospital (SDH). After prelimiary examination, he was referred to MKCG medical college and hospital, Berhampur.
Police have started an investigation into the matter.
