Such an instance came to the fore in Nabarangpur district today with a large number of women sitting on the road with empty buckets, pots, and pitchers to register their protest against the State government's failure to provide them with drinking water and other basic facilities, including a pucca road.

Women of Hirali village on the outskirts of Nabarangpur town staged a 'Rasta Roko', which resulted in disruption in vehicular movement on the Hirili bypass road.
