The youth was reportedly a resident of Amedkar Nagar in the city. He reportedly died on the spot.
According to sources, the private bus, carrying pilgrims from Mayurbhanj district, was heading to Samaleswari Temple when the mishap took place.
The bus driver reportedly fled from the spot. However, the locals detained him near Kacheri Chhak in the city.
