Balangir, Feb 17: A 17-Year-old youth allegedly ended life after four members of family killed in a gas cylinder explosion at Kanut village under Belpada police station limits in Balangir district.

According to the information, On February 10, five Women and a Man were reportedly  watching television inside the house in the evening when the gas cylinder in the kitchen caught fire and exploded. 

The injured were rescued by local residents and admitted to Kantabanji Community Health Centre and later they were shifted to a private hospital in Rourkela.

During the treatment, four members of the family succumbed to death. 

After hearing the death of his family members, a 17-year-old youth could not bear the loss and ends his life.

A pall of gloom has descended over Kanut village after the death of the youth and his family members.
