Keonjhar, Dec 27: After a break of just two days, another incident of a person dying in an elephant attack came to the in Odisha today. This time, a youth was trampled to death in Keonjhar district. 

The deceased has been identified as Mithun Munda, a resident of Haridajodi village under the Champua area in the district. 

According to the information, Mithun along with three other villagers was returning home from Marasuan haat last evening when they came across a tusker at Binodbiharipur. While the three others managed to run for safety, Mithun couldn't. He was trampled by the pachyderm there. 

On being informed, forest and police personnel went to the spot and sent the body to the Champua Sub Divisional Hospital for postmortem. 

People of the village are in a state of fear as a 19-member elephant herd is moving into the area.
