Chandabali, Jan 25: A car accident was reported at Fakir Mohan Square, a major junction in Chandabali town, after a car suddenly went out of control and rammed into an auto-rickshaw moving ahead of it.

According to a source, the car hit the auto from behind and continued to push it for some distance while in motion before coming to a halt on the main road. The incident caused panic among pedestrians and commuters at the busy intersection.

Witnesses said the driver of the car suffered a sudden medical emergency while driving, which resulted in him losing control of the steering wheel. The driver reportedly became unresponsive inside the vehicle, leading to the collision.

Local residents immediately rushed to the spot and surrounded the vehicle. The driver was rescued from the car by the public. After an immediate response by the locals, the driver reportedly regained consciousness.

He was then shifted without delay to Chandabali Community Health Centre, where he was admitted for treatment. His condition at the time of admission was not officially disclosed.

The auto-rickshaw involved in the accident sustained damage. No injuries to the auto driver or passengers were reported at the time of filing this report.

The incident led to a temporary traffic disruption at Fakir Mohan Square, which was later cleared with the help of locals. The timely intervention by residents helped prevent further escalation of the situation and ensured prompt medical assistance to the driver.
