While the village has been man-less, the police are still searching for 100 more villagers in connection with the case.
Notably, villagers had attacked police during a raid on a gambling den in the village on Friday night. A special team of police had swooped on miscreants who were gambling in groups during a festival in the village. However, villagers soon gathered at the spot and assaulted police. They even kept two police vans under their custody. In the incident, some policemen were injured and hospitalised.
Following the incident, adequate police personnel were deployed in the village. After registering case, police have swung to action.
