The Kalahandi district administration on Saturday issued standard operating procedure (SOP) for the ensuing Chhatar Yatra.
According to the SOP, devotees can watch the Chhar Yatra (Movement of idol of Maa Manikeshwari in procession) on TVs and Facebook and other social media.
People will not be allowed to have direct Darshan of the yatra to be held on October 13. Only required rituals will be held.
Section 144 of the CrPC will be imposed on the procession route in Bhawanpatna.
It may be noted that thousands of devotees witness the Chhatar Jatra every normal year.
