Mumbai, May 4: Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have started shooting for their upcoming film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’.

On Saturday, director-producer Shashank Khaitan took to the Stories section of his Instagram and shared a picture of the clapboard notifying his followers about the film’s shoot.

He wrote on the picture: “Day 1, Sincere gratitude."

Varun also shared the picture posted by his director on his Instagram Stories.

Even Karan Johar shared the picture, saying, "Only love for you, go make the best movie Shash."

‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ marks Varun’s third collaboration with Shashank after seven years. It also marks the second collaboration between Shashank and Janhvi after her debut film ‘Dhadak’.

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, the film also stars Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Akshay Oberoi in key roles.

Indian Junior Men’s And Women’s Hockey Teams Leave For Tour Of Europe

Bengaluru, May 18: The Indian junior men’s hockey team and Indian junior women’s hockey team embarked on a tour of Europe on Saturday. During the tour, the Indian junior men’s team will compete against Belgium, Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push, and Germany while the Indian Junior women’s hockey Team will take on Belgium, Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push, Germany, and Oranje Rood.

Led by captain Jyoti Singh, the Indian junior women’s hockey team will begin their campaign against Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push on May 21, followed by a match against Belgium on May 22 in Breda. The team will then travel to Antwerp to take on Belgium on May 24 before returning to Breda to play Germany on May 26. They will travel to Dusseldorf to face Germany again on May 27 followed by a contest with Oranje Rood on May 29 in Breda to end their tour of Europe.

Sharing her excitement before leaving for the tour Jyoti Singh said, “The team is raring to travel across Europe and face some of the toughest international youth teams along with some prominent European youth hockey clubs. This tour will provide us with invaluable match experience and help us understand our strengths and weaknesses. We have a few players who will be making their debut as well and it is a great opportunity for them to showcase their skills against high calibre opponents.”

The Indian junior men’s hockey team, led by captain Rohit, will kick off their tour against Belgium on May 20 in Antwerp. The reverse fixture will be played on May 22 followed by a match against Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push on May 23 in Breda. The team will then face off against Germany on May 28 in Monchengladbach and on May 29 in Breda to bring their tour to a close.

“The tour of Europe will be a great platform to test the results of our training in camp so far. Belgium, Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push, and Germany are formidable opponents and it will be interesting to see how we square up against them. We will aim to maximize this exposure and win all our matches,” said captain Rohit.(IANS)

Odisha: Sanatan Mahakud Richest Among 126 Crorepati Candidates In Third Phase Poll Fray

Bhubaneswar, May 18: Thirty-tree percent of candidates, numbering 126, in the fray in the third phase election in Odisha are crorepaties, according to a report of the Association for Democratic Reformes (ADR).

Polling for the third phase of elections in the State will be held on May 25.

Champua BJD candidate Sanatan Mahakud is the richest among the crorepatis owning assets worth Rs 227.67 crore. The second richest on the list is Ghashipura Independent candidate Soumya Ranjan Patnaik who owns assets worth Rs 122.87 lakh. The third richest is BJP's Nayagarh BJP nominee Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh with assets worth Rs 120.56 crore.

The poorest among the candidates fighting the third phase poll is Samruddha Odisha's Badamba candidate Kailash Chandra Nayak, who owns assets worth Rs 1,000. Next to him is Bramhagiri Independent candidate Sukant Ghadei and North-Bhubaneswar CPI (ML) candidate Gopinath Nayak, each of the two own properties worth Rs 2,000 only.

The ADR report is based on the affidavits, submitted to the Election Commission of India by the candidates.

Out of 381 MLA candidates in the third phase, two have not gone to schools, while two others have passed Class V. While 11 nominees have passed Class V, 32 have passed Class VIII, 49 Class X, 86 Graduation, and six have done doctorate. The nominees comprise 337 males and 44 women. While one candidate is aged above 80 years, 129 belong to the 41-80 year age group, according to the ADR report.

"Me and him playing again, maybe for last time": Virat Kohli drops massive hint on MS Dhoni's future

Bengaluru, May 18: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star and Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli dropped a major hint on legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni's future plan, citing that Saturday's game between RCB and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) might be the final time the two play together.

RCB and CSK will battle it out for the final IPL 2024 playoffs place during their crunch fixture at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. CSK are placed in 4th position with 14 points from 13 matches while RCB are seventh with 12 points in as many outings.

The veteran Indian batter took Dhoni as an example to support his method, claiming that the now 42-year-old supported him throughout his career by helping in games to the final over.

Since last year's IPL, speculations have been building around which season could be Dhoni's last season as a player in the cash-rich league. CSK have made their final appearance at Chepauk in the group stage.

After sharing the dressing room with Dhoni multiple times over the previous 16 years, Kohli hinted that this might also be his final opportunity to play alongside the former India captain.

"For fans to see him (Dhoni) play in any stadium in India is a big thing. Me and him playing again, maybe for the last time, you never know - that is a special thing. We have had some great memories, some great partnerships for India, it's a great occasion for fans to see us together," Kohli said on Jio Cinema.

Kohli said Dhoni was criticised for this early in his career but the wicketkeeper-batter did not alter his strategy.

"People used to say the same about Mahi bhai (Mahendra Singh Dhoni). 'Why is he taking the game to 20th over or 50th over?'

But how many matches did he finish for India! He's probably the only person who knows what he's doing! And he's finishing the game from there. For me, that's muscle memory. He knows if he takes the match till the last over, he'll win the game. My mindset was different. I used to think let's finish the game in the 49th over (in ODIs) or 19th over (in T20s). If he was batting with me at the end, then the thinking was different. He will take the game into the last over where the opposition team is shivering in fear," Kohli further added.

Meanwhile, Dhoni could once again return to CSK's home stadium if they managed to make the cut for the playoffs and manage to reach the final of the tournament. The IPL final will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 24. In ten innings, Dhoni has amassed 136 runs at a strike rate of 226.66.
