Close on the heels of recovery of seven Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) by the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans from ‘Swabhiman Anchal’, a group of armed Maoists reportedly killed a man by slitting his throat and thrashed two others mercilessly suspecting them to be police informers at Khajuriguda area under Jodamba police station limits on Wednesday.
According to reports, around 30 armed Maoists, including women, raided the village and picked up three villagers identified as Das Khemudu, Sana Hantala and Samaru Khil around 9.30 PM yesterday.
The ultras killed Das Khemudu by slitting his throat and brutally beat two others leaving them severely injured.
Though the exact reason behind the act by the Maoists was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that they committed the offence over the suspicion of the three being police informers.
Meanwhile, Police have recovered the body and sent for post-mortem.
