On the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, the officials of the anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous searches at Mathan’s properties at six different places in Bhubaneswar and the districts of Kendrapara and Jagatsingpur, an official said.
The Vigilance officials conducted simultaneous house searches at Mathan’s residence at Kesura and three other houses at Jharpada in the State Capital, paternal house at Pattamundei in Kendrapara district and her spouse’s paternal house in Balikuda area of Jagatsinghpur district.
The officials have so far seized jewellery, several bank passbooks, ATM cards and documents related to land etc. belonging to Kabita Mathan.
“The total valuation of the disproportion assets of the Anganwadi worker is yet to be calculated as raids are still underway,” a Vigilance official said.
