So far, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have already campaigned for party candidates in Odisha ahead of polls. While Jaishankar is still there with his scheduled intellectuals' meeting in Cuttack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Nadda are visiting the State today.
In his two-day visit, the PM will halt tonight at the Raj Bhawan and address massive public rallies at Berhampur and Nabarangpur tomorrow. He is scheduled to come to Odisha again on May 10. He will then lead road shows in Bhubaneswar, said party sources
Nadda will attend programmes in Bhubaneswar and other places during this two-day visit i.e May 5 and 6.
Party sources further informed that another senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Odisha on May 8 and Home Minister Shah again on May 12. While Singh is scheduled to address a huge public gathering at Rayagada, Shah is likely to campaign candidates who are in the fray for the second phase poll on May 20.
Four Lok Sabha constituencies- Berhampur, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Kalahandi- and 28 Assembly under them are going to the polls in the country's fourth phase and the State's first phase on May 13.
