The arrested has been identified as Ramakant Das (63), son of Saunti Das of Akarpada under Jajpur Town police station limits.
In 1989, a loot case had been registered against him and since then he had been absconding.
Recently, police could get to know about the presence of Ramakant in Nuapada under Bhadrak district’s Dhamnagar police station limits. A team of police went to the village and arrested him.
