While releasing the manifesto, titled 'Modi Ka Guarantee for Odisha 2024', Nadda said, “We are fighting the election to form government in Odisha and not sit as Opposition in the State assembly.”
The BJP president promised to parocure paddy from farmers at Rs 3100 per quintal and the money will be credited to the bank accounts of farmers within 48 hours.
"We will develop an industrial corridor connecting Rourkela, Sambalpur, Paradeep and Dhamra by June 2027," Nadda said.
The BJP will launch 'Subhadra' scheme for the women of Odisha. Each and every woman in the State will get a voucher of Rs 50,000 for the development of her family. The women can encash these vouchers within two years, he added.
"We will aim to create 25 lakh 'Lakhpati Didis' in Odisha by 2027. For this, we will create industrial clusters for every 500 self-help groups, wherein we will provide facility management for product marketing and promotion," he said.
The BJP promised that it would return the money people lost by investing in chit-fund companies within 18 months, and implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme within 100 days.
It also promised medical, engineering and law courses in Odia, and set up IT parks at Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Berhampur and Balasore, besides textile parks in western Odisha.
Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal, MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Jual Oram, senior leaders Samir Mohanty, Sambit Patra and Prithviraj Harichandan were, among others, present on the occasion.
Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously in Odisha in four phases, starting from Phase one on May 13, Phase two on May 20, Phase three on May 25 and the final Phase on June 1.
The results will be announced on June 4.
